Position Overview
We seek a visionary Director of Sales to drive exponential growth in Canada’s freight forwarding market. This role is ideal for a high-impact sales leader or accomplished senior sales professional with deep expertise in air and ocean logistics. You will build and lead a dynamic sales team, forge strategic partnerships, and expand our footprint across major industry sectors. Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership: Oversee all sales operations in Canada, mentoring a high-performing team to exceed targets and fostering a culture of accountability and innovation.

  • Business Development: Identify, cultivate, and close high-value opportunities, leveraging our global network to deliver end-to-end logistics solutions.  
  • Client Relations: Serve as the senior liaison for key accounts, ensuring unparalleled service and long-term partnerships.  
  • Market Expansion: Design and execute regional/national sales strategies to penetrate new industries and solidify market leadership.  
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with global teams and overseas offices to align initiatives and optimize service delivery.
  • Performance Metrics: Develop and manage budgets, KPIs, and forecasts, delivering regular insights to executive leadership.  
  • Industry Advocacy:  Stay ahead of market trends, regulatory shifts, and competitive dynamics to position the company as a thought leader.  

Experience:

  • 7-10+ years in senior sales leadership within freight forwarding, with a proven track record in air/ocean logistics.  
  • Industry Expertise: Deep understanding of Canadian logistics markets and experience negotiating complex, multi-modal solutions.  
  • Leadership Skills: Demonstrated ability to inspire teams, drive revenue growth, and mentor emerging talent.  
  • Strategic Mindset: Adept at crafting data-driven strategies and translating vision into actionable plans.  
  • Communication: Exceptional negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building skills.  
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, or related field; MBA or advanced certifications (e.g., CSCMP) are a plus.

Compensation: A base salary of $100,000 – $130,000, plus performance incentives, full benefits. The compensation package will be tailored to reflect the senior nature of the position.
