Our client is a very well-established international freight forwarder in Canada.They are looking for a qualified and experienced international ocean imports agent with strong customer service and communications skills, experience with container space allocation, an organized work-style, and a proactive attitude to solving customer shipment issues. You have a passion for freight forwarding and are looking to join a growing, dynamic team.
KPIs
- Utilize weekly allocations (Target 100%)
- Communicate with operations and sales for any unused allocations
- Review booking sheet and approve bookings or provide alternative suggestions daily
- Coordinate approved bookings with overseas offices
- Obtain report from overseas offices and update available sailing schedules (Target 100%)
Responsibilities:
- Maintain schedule report from overseas offices
- Manage allocation reports with current sailing schedules
- Review daily the allocation report that full utilization is being entered from operations
- Supply daily from the utilization report, origin office with booking requests from the operator’s entries
- Provide destination operations with confirmed booking details
- Support operations inquiries
- Communicate with operations and sales for any unused allocations to proactively fill allocations
- Provide alternative vessel options by reviewing internal documentations (SIS, Quotations & sailing schedules)
- Liaison with procurement & solutions team when required
- Acts as a trouble-shooter between overseas office and procurement & solutions team regarding allocations additional as required
Experience: > 3 to 5 years Ocean FCL/LCL Imports or Container Space Allocation Coordination – must have previous ocean imports booking experience.

- General knowledge of the freight forwarding and NVOCC environment
