- To provide Customs Requirements and Compliance advice to clients and staff
- Review entries for accuracy before sending to final accounting from QC file
- Assigning/Researching correct HS Tariff codes
- Import requirements, CFIA/Health Canada, end-use, FTA etc
- Respond to customer inquiries regarding tariff classification, duty rates and tariff treatments, all import requirements, RIV, CFIA, Health Canada, Import controls, FTA, end-use
- Review database for correct HS, other possible exemptions or Annex applications
- Assist clients with Customs Audits
- Prepare drawbacks
- Assist with other projects as required
Qualifications and Experience:
- Ability to provide excellent customer service to all stakeholders
- Several years of HS Tariff Analysis experience
- Ability to prioritize, multi-task and make adjustments for changing workload
- Minimum of 5 years (+) of experience in a Customs Broker in Canada
- Post-secondary education in a customs related field would be an asset
- CCS Designate is strongly preferred
Compensation: Negotiable salary, according to industry experience, plus full benefits
