Our client is a well-established international freight forwarder that has a reputation for providing quality service. As a result of growth, they are seeking to hire a candidate with about 3-5 years experience in ocean and air pricing in an international freight forwarder in Canada.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Review customer’s requests and prepare sales rate quotations
- Review customers sales representatives and global network requests for pricing on international imports/exports domestic distribution and transborder requirements
- Provide rates and market information to customers and internally
- Provide assistance to improve products and services
- Provide assistance in developing customer’s accounts
- Answering customer inquiries relating to sales / service issues such as: logistic solutions pricing; problems or complaints resolution; inside sales; price negotiations (carriers and customers); answering customers inquiries relating to pricing/ sales/service issues; filing out quote request form; escalating customer service issues to the appropriate manager
- Responsible to resolve internal and operations problems in a diligent business efficient manner in order to prevent service deficiency’s and / or customers dissatisfaction
- Improve on an ongoing basis internal systems and procedures in order to favor customer service and departmental internal efficiency
- Other tasks and duties assigned from time to time by the Manager
Qualifications:
- Minimum three to five (3-5+) years experience in similar position within an International Freight Forwarding organization
- Experience of Ocean/Air – Import/Export logistics
- Certification or diploma in a related field of studies, an asset
- Must have strong skill sets in utilizing excel, and other MS office applications
- Basic knowledge of customs regulations (AMPS, B13, ACI, CSI….) an asset
- Work in a dynamic and fast pace environment
- People’s and negotiation skills
- Set priorities and organize workload assigned in an efficient manner
- Able to work under pressure
